Tashwir is a journal about religion, social, and local culture. Tashwir is a scientific periodical published by Institution of Research and Community Services (LP2M) Antasari State Islamic University (UIN) of Banjarmasin Indonesia which contains the results of research by experts in the field of Islamic religious and socio-cultural research in various perspectives. The focus of this journal is on Islam and social, Islam and local culture, Spiritual Traditions, Role of Islam in Culture and Society, Islamic Ethics and Literature, Contemporary Islamic Religious Social Phenomena, islamic Values, and Local Wisdom Issues, and History of Islam dan Turats.

Tashwir was first published in Volume 1, No. 1 in July 2013 and holds the P-ISSN number 2338-9702 and E-ISSN number 3032-1166. DOI of this Jurnal is https://doi.org/10.18592/jt. Tashwir is issued twice a year, every January and July. However, there has been a change in the publication months of Tashwir, which is now in January-June and July-December, starting from the year 2022 until the present.

Based on the Decree of the Director General of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia Number 355/DST/D.D1/HM.01.01/2026, Tashwir is Sinta3 accredited starting from Volume 11 Number 2 of 2023 to Volume 16 Number 1 of 2028.
