Syariah: Jurnal Hukum dan Pemikiran is committed to long-term preservation of the scholarly record.
The journal maintains its published content and metadata within its Open Journal Systems infrastructure and institutional information systems.
Digital preservation should include distributed or redundant preservation mechanisms such as LOCKSS, the PKP Preservation Network, institutional repository preservation, regular server backups, or other recognized preservation services that are technically enabled by the publisher.
The journal seeks to ensure that:
- published articles remain permanently accessible;
- article metadata remain recoverable;
- DOI records continue to resolve to the Version of Record;
- preservation copies are maintained independently from the primary production system; and
- journal content can be restored following technical failure.
Authors are also permitted and encouraged to deposit the Version of Record in institutional or subject repositories, subject to the CC BY 4.0 license.
Retractions or corrections do not result in silent deletion from the archive. The original scholarly record is preserved with clear links to the relevant correction or retraction notice.
