Syariah: Jurnal Hukum dan Pemikiran recognizes the importance of maintaining an accurate and trustworthy scholarly record.
The journal follows recognized publication ethics principles in addressing errors, corrections, expressions of concern, withdrawals, and retractions.
Corrections
A correction may be issued when a published article contains an error that affects the accuracy, interpretation, attribution, or understanding of the article but does not invalidate the principal findings.
Corrections will be published transparently and permanently linked to the original article.
Author Corrections
Authors who identify a significant error in their published work must promptly inform the editorial office and cooperate in determining the appropriate corrective action.
Retraction
An article may be retracted where there is reliable evidence of:
- fabricated or falsified data;
- plagiarism;
- unauthorized or redundant publication;
- serious methodological or analytical errors that invalidate the findings;
- unethical research;
- manipulated peer review;
- fraudulent authorship;
- serious undisclosed conflicts of interest;
- substantial copyright violations; or
- other circumstances making the findings unreliable.
Retraction decisions are made after appropriate investigation.
Retraction Notice
A retracted article will not ordinarily be deleted from the journal archive.
Instead:
- the article record remains accessible;
- the article and PDF are clearly marked as retracted;
- a retraction notice explains the reason for retraction to the extent possible;
- the notice is linked to the original article;
- relevant metadata are updated; and
- the scholarly record remains transparent.
Expression of Concern
Where serious concerns have been raised but an investigation is incomplete or inconclusive, the journal may publish an Expression of Concern.
Withdrawal Before Publication
Authors may request withdrawal of a submitted manuscript by providing a clear written explanation.
Withdrawal after formal acceptance should occur only for legitimate and exceptional reasons because editorial and peer-review resources have already been invested.
Article Removal
Complete removal of an article is reserved for exceptional circumstances, such as serious legal requirements, court orders, substantial privacy violations, or content that poses a serious and immediate risk.
Where possible, bibliographic metadata and an explanation of the removal will remain available.
